depart Melbourne city, travelling through a cross section of suburbs to the eucalypt forests of Warrandyte. Enjoy a short stroll with your guide with a chance to see the diverse birdlife and koalas that inhabit the forest. This fascinating experience takes you southeast of the city through the rich Gippsland coastal region. As we leave the city our first stop is at a working Dairy farm, Caldermeade. This gives you a glimpse of rural Victoria so close to the city, yet a world away. Leaving the city we head over the magnificent Westgate Bridge. This bridge offers awesome views of the Docklands, as well as a panoramic view of the city skyline.

We soon arrive at Geelong and take you down to Corio Bay. Corio Bay is a wonderful mix of old wharves, woolstores and a fully restored 1930s seabathing complex. See wonderful examples of century old housing and the 100 brightly painted bollards dotted around the bay depicting some of Geelong's local historic characters, each having its own story to tell. - email us for more details

Day One: As you leave the city center and restored docklands of Melbourne, the stretching suburbs and Port Phillip Bay can be seen from the top of Westgate Bridge. Enter the volcanic western plains of Victoria where European settlers forged there way as far as the Otway Ranges, establishing large sheep properties, and homesteads.

Day Two: This morning a short drive to the Shipwreck Coast will bring tales of the heroes and follies, as many ships have floundered along this wild coastline. View the 12 Apostles ocean rock formations from a coastal boardwalk. - email us for more details
